We’re updating the way you request appointments

From Mid-April, all medical and admin requests will be made through a simple online form on our website. This will be available Monday to Friday, 7.30am-6pm.

This includes requests for:

  • GP appointments
  • Prescriptions
  • Test results
  • Fit notes
  • And other admin or medical queries

A clinician will review your form and decide the safest and most appropriate next step, this may be an appointment, advice by text or phone, or signposting to another service. This helps us manage demand safely, fairly, and ensures you get the right care at the right time.

What is changing?

  • All requests will start with our online form.
  • A clinician will review your information the same day (or next working day if it’s late).
  • If you need an appointment, you’ll receive a text with a booking link so you can choose a convenient time.
  • You won’t need to call at 8:30am anymore.

If you can’t use the internet, you can still call reception, and our team will complete the form with you.

Why are we making this change?

Other local practices using this system have seen:

  • Shorter waiting times
  • Fairer access
  • Fewer long phone queues
  • Faster responses
  • Safer allocation of appointments

It ensures urgent problems are prioritised and routine issues are managed promptly.

Need support?

Our Digital Ambassador, Emma Steven, can help you complete the form.

You can tell us on the form if you need any adjustments, such as an interpreter or communication support.

Have additional needs?

The form includes a space to tell us if you require any adjustments (e.g., interpreter, communication support).

Once reviewed, our team will ensure the right arrangements are in place.
